We have been learning about time in Maths. Games like bingo and Stop the Clock during stations are helping us to become more confident reading the time. This is a tricky area so please practise as often as possible at home!
We interviewed Dr. Joseph Roche, an Irish scientist who is starting his training in the hope that he will go to live on Mars! We learned about the Mars One Mission, which hopes to create a human settlement on Mars by 2013. See the 'Solar System' page for more!
Kid President's video reminded us to tell each other that we are awesome. We are all wonderful for lots of different reasons!
Can you think of anything else we should say more often?
We made timelines showing some important events in the history of space exploration. Click on this link to see our interactive timeline and to see if you can answer the quiz questions correctly!

We have been practising how to broadcast a message in Scratch so that two sprites can have a proper conversation! See the Scratch page for more.
We used a picture of the moon landing to inspire some creative writing, while in Drama we imagined that we had arrived on a distant planet and had to communicate with aliens without a common language. The audience then had to guess what the original message was.
